Our Story

In 1965, Mr. Chen Yat Lee won a scholarship to study plastics technology in Germany. He was one of the first Malaysians to receive this scholarship to Suddeutschen Kunststoff-Zentrum, or the German Plastics Centre, in Wurzburg, Bavaria. He went on to found Perusahaan Jaya Plastik (M) Sdn Bhd in February 1980, starting with a rented factory in Petaling Jaya with a small workforce of 30 people.

Today, due to his entrepreneurial skills and vast technical experience, Perusahaan Jaya Plastik owns a state-of-the-art factory and warehousing facilities in Shah Alam of more than 300,000 square feet in area and has a workforce of 190.

In April 2003, its holding company CYL Corporation Berhad was listed on the Second Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, which is today part of Bursa Malaysia’s Main Market.

Venturing Into

Property Development

In venturing into property development, we are focused on where we can harness our insight as experienced manufacturers. We understand the requirements of manufacturers who want to start their operations quickly. Our future customers will be able to move in, commission and start production knowing the property has the right floor loading, the right utility connections and electricity rating.

We also aim to obtain Green RE certification for our project, a leading standard for green buildings in Malaysia with criteria for
